The Night Before Summer Vacation

 The Night Before Summer Vacation

Title: The Night Before Summer Vacation

Author: Natasha Wing

Illustrated by: Julie Durrell

Genre: Realistic Fiction

Ages: 6-9 years old

Teacher evaluation: This is a great book that would be good to read before summer vacation of spring break to prepare their students for all the excitement that will be coming. It would be very exciting for them to be able to get excited for vacation instead of sad about leaving school. It does not really go with a certain unit unless you are talking about very specific safety equipment for the outdoors

Summary: It was the night before vacation and the family was so excited to leave. The dad got everything checked off of his checklist as he  got it ready. The mom got all the snacks. They got all their outdoor activities ready also. They got their luggage's all ready and packed up all the clothes. They stuffed every inch of the car with supplies. Once they finished packing they ate their last meal at home an got their scrapbooks from their past vacation. They had so many photos. They then climbed into bed and they dreamed of their vacation. they woke up super early to leave right on time. As they drove out of sight the brother asked. "are we there yet?"
