Summary: The Woman who Outshone the Sun. Is a billingual book that is about a woman who arrives to a village with her pet iguana. She has long dark hair that people say outshines the sun. Everyone was a little afraid of her because she seemed strange to them. She would wash her hair in the river and the water, fish and otters would gather into her hair and she would then brush them all out. Some of the people in the village did not like the woman and they were afraid of her powers so they would be cruel. One day she washed her hair and did not brush away the water, fish and otters, so the town went thirsty and hungry. They became a desert. The people then all went looking for Lucia to apologize. when they found her they begged for her forgiveness, so she returned their water. The village people were so happy and the woman disappeared again but she watched over them.
